Escape the ordinary. Feel everything. At New York Fashion Week, BLKSWN made its unapologetic debut with an over-the-top, couture-inspired launch that set tongues wagging and cameras flashing.

Hosted at the exclusive private club Chez Margaux, our intimate dinner brought together a curated mix of fashion insiders, interiors tastemakers, and curious creatives. It was more than a party—it was the first taste of a brand built on stimulating textiles, shameless design, and a mindset that’s completely, unapologetically unconfined.

“We wanted to reveal something bold,” says Annalise Grimshaw, founder/ CEO and creative director of BLKSWN.

“The U.S. is our biggest market. But the ripple? That’s global—Middle East, China, Europe, Southeast Asia. We’re dreaming big, and doing it our way.”

Our Press Day at Quarters in Tribeca pulled in the heavy hitters—Vogue Living, Elle, AD, and more. Journalists arrived curious and left captivated. The message? This isn’t just another lifestyle brand. BLKSWN is something undiscovered.

BORN IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA, MADE FOR THE WORLD

Inspired by the rugged, untamed beauty of Western Australia, BLKSWN is a dreamscape of texture, tone, and unapologetic cues. Every collection draws from a personal archive of memory, movement, and wild, sunburnt terrain.

“As a kid, I didn’t see the magic,” Grimshaw reflects.
“Now, I look back and feel it all—the red dirt, the pink skies, the isolation, the space to dream. BLKSWN is my love letter to that place.”

From bed to bath, wear to living, our pieces are crafted to stimulate, comfort, and inspire—all at once.

BIRTHED IN CHAOS, BUILT FOR ESCAPE

The soul of BLKSWN came during a moment of total collapse.

“New York. Late 2021. Covid. Black Lives Matter. I had two babies under one. I was up at 3am feeding my son when I just knew—I needed to create. To provide.
To impress. To escape,” says Grimshaw.

“BLKSWN was born in the dark, but it became my light.”

It’s not just a brand. It’s a reminder: you can build beauty, even in chaos.

IN BED TOGETHER: THE PREMIERE COLLECTION

Our first campaign, Homage to the Swan, is as theatrical as it is tactile. Shot in Grimshaw’s Sydney home, the visuals blend fashion and fantasy—models emerge from a giant swan egg (yes, really), symbolising the birth of the brand.

“We don’t do subtle,” she smiles.
“We play. We flaunt. We reveal ourselves in unexpected ways.”

From over-the-top props to emotionally charged sets, every shoot is a sensory escape. Couture meets creature comfort.

Grimshaw’s design instinct was shaped young—growing up in Perth, watching her parents flip Federation houses and transform chaos into beauty. Those moments built her visual language. BLKSWN is her next chapter.

“It was about textures, tones, matching tiles, telling a story through the space you
live in,” she says.

“That’s what we’re doing now—stimulating spaces, inside and out.”
