Western Australian by Nature
Brand Origins BLKSWN was inspired by Western Australia — a place where serenity collides with the wild. It’s not just where we started. It’s what shaped us. Founder Annalise Grimshaw grew up here, surrounded by the land’s quiet drama — from scorched desert stillness to coastal chaos. It formed her design instincts. It still feeds them. This land doesn’t whisper. It roars. And so does everything we create. Even our name is rooted here — a nod to the black swan, native to Western Australia and anything but ordinary.
Rare.
Regal.
Refusing to blend in. Just like us. BLKSWN isn’t inspired by trends. We’re shaped by place. And we wear it unapologetically.

Design Inspiration
Everything we create is a response to the land we come from — textured, raw, and unconfined. From the quiet of Kings Park to the chaos of the Kimberley. From Wave Rock’s carved edges to the layered depths of the Ningaloo Reef. Our forms echo the dunes. Our tones mimic the coastline. Our textiles hold the same unapologetic energy found in the Valley of the Giants, the Wheatbelt, Rottnest, and Margaret River. We don't imitate nature — we interpret it. Through folds, shadows, and bold stillness. A place we treasure — now brought to the world through fabric.
We acknowledge the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation, the Traditional Custodians of the land we live and create on.
We pay our respects to Elders past and present.
Their deep connection to Country continues to inspire and ground us.
Always was.
Always will be.
